Banana Bread

 

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients

  • 113g butter, softened
  • 165g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 430g mashed banana (ripe is best)
  • 210g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C and line or grease a loaf tin.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well until combined.
  4. Stir in the mashed banana and mix until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Mix gently until just combined (don’t overmix).
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf tin.
  8. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the tin and slicing.
